Easy Healthy Pancakes
My friend Karen has a yummy and healthy pancake recipe i thought you would like.
½ c lowfat cottage cheese
½ c oatmeal
3 egg whites
Cinnamon to taste
Splenda to taste
Few drops of vanilla extract
Mix in blender, cook like regular pancakes
Good to be thin so they cook all the way through
Add blueberries if desired
Top with Sugar free syrup
This recipe sounds really REALLY yummy. I am going to have to send it to my diabetic friends as it would be PERFECT for them!

Magic Mix Recipe
I was looking around my favorite webpages and came upon this recipe that can be used for so many different things. Useful recipes can be found at

The secret behind making MAGIC MIX: (Makes 5 Cups of Magic Mix)
Step 1:
You will need some sort of good mixer. Make sure you use beaters when making the mix as shown above. If you don’t have a good mixer, start calling around…get together with a friend and make some…it is SOOOO worth it!
Step 2:
Ingredients:2 1/3 C. Powdered Milk
1 C. All Purpose Flour (Yes, use All Purpose)
1 C. (2 sticks) Margarine (***HAS TO BE REAL MARGARINE, NOT SPREAD***) or Butter, at room temperature
Combine dry milk, flour and margarine/butter into a large bowl.
Step 3:
Mix until it looks like corn meal. (You may want to start off slow and work up to the fastest setting so that it doesn’t blow powder all over)
Step 4:
Keep mix tightly covered in the refrigerator. (note: keep your #10 cans for just such a purpose! They are 50 cents and work great for storing home made mixes)

Inexpensive HEALTHY popcicles
So I just finished a little venture in the kitchen when I decided to make some yummpy fruit and milk popcicles. My little guy loves it when I stick a little cup of yogurt in the freezeer with a stick so Ithought I might try to make some of my own and save a little.
Creamy Berry Popcicles
1/2 cup Grape Juice (or any dark juice- ie: blueberry, cranberry, etc...)
1/4 cup 1 % milk (or for milk allergies, you can use plain yogurt or lactose free)
1 handful frozen raspberries
1 tsp wheat germ
1 tsp soluble fiber powder
1 Tbsp protein powder
Blend well in a blender until berries are broken up. Pour into popcicle trays. Add popcicle sticks. Freeze until solid and enjoy.

Hello Followers!
I am soooo sorry that I haven't posted in nearly a year. I have been pregnant, had a baby and chased a toddler in that time. Good news is that I will be better at regularly updating the blog now with more that just recipes. I have recently developed a passion for couponing and saving money with anything and everything, so you will be seeing more links to the pages and sites that I use as well as money saving recipes for food favorites. I will be putting exercises on here to help keep all of us healthy and happy. I don't mean those EXTREME exercises, but more relaxing and mommy friendly/ time friendly routines. Another new addition will be activities to do with young kids to teach them new things and be more involoved. I hope that I will be able to get feedback and comments to help run things better on here!
